Technical Informations

1. LABORATORY TESTS

QUECHUA has performed tests to simulate backpack ageing. The tests focused on components, seams and the end product. As a result of these tests, Quechua and Decathlon can guarantee all bags tested for a duration of 10 years from the date of purchase indicated on the sales receipt.

2. 10-YEAR GUARANTEE

The guarantee covers any backpack faults, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year guarantee will only be granted upon presentation of the product and sales receipt. If the product is under guarantee, it will be repaired or exchanged for free. This commercial guarantee does not affect any statutory guarantees that are applicable in the country/states of purchase.

3. ENVIRONMENTAL MEASUREMENTS

Oxylane and Quechua have decided to inform you of the environmental impact of its hiking backpacks over their entire lifespan. This work follows an experiment that began in July 2011 with the French Ministry of Ecology. Scores ranging from A to E were awarded based on comparisons between Quechua's backpacks only. PRODUCT TEST

All our backpacks are tested in the field by users who represent the target market under conditions identical to those found in typical use. Our Field Test Missions team up our product managers with people not affiliated with QUECHUA to test, improve and validate our products.

Store your bag in a dry place.

MAINTENANCE TIPS

To ensure materials retain their properties (especially waterproofing), we recommend you do not machine wash, tumble dry, dry-clean, or bleach your backpack. Do not iron. To clean your backpack by hand, use warm soapy water and a brush if needed. After a few years of use, you should renew the water repellent properties of the fabric using a waterproofing spray.
